Job Title: FRIENDS SERVICE AID - SHOWER OPERATIONS

DUTIES
Based on an agreed upon seasonal schedule, the employee will manage and maintain 91 coin operated showers that are located across 7 Santa Cruz County State Parks. The employee will go from park to park using their own vehicle performing the following duties: clean the shower controller, accepter, and solenoid, examine and maintain the controller and accepter, collect the coins or tokens and record the controller count, count coins, prepare bank deposit, prepare and forward the back office paperwork to bookkeeper, order controller, accepter, and solenoid parts as needed, and respond in a timely manner to State Park requests indicating that a controller or acceptor needs repair.
SKILLS
The employee must have strong maintenance skills, good math skills, be able to work independently and manage time efficiently, be a good representative of the FSCSP and work well with the public, be on call when unexpected repair situations come up, provide accurate paperwork in a timely manner, possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record, own a reliable vehicle in good working condition, and wear an FSCSP identifying jacket and keep it presentable.
SCHEDULE
High Season (May 31-Sept 5) - 8 hours a day, 5 days a week
Shoulder Season (Sept 6-Oct 31) - 8 hours a day, 4 days a week
Shoulder Season (Mar 1-May 30) - 8 hours a day, 4 days a week
Low Season (Nov 1-Feb 28) - As Needed/TBD
PAY RATE AND REIMBURSEMENT
Hourly range of $13.50 to $15.00/hour, position entitles the employee to over time pay, the employee uses his/her own vehicle and is reimbursed at the rate of $0.505 per mile. The employee is eligible for vacation and sick benefits.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must pass a math test, have a satisfactory DMV record, satisfactory criminal and credit background check reports, maintain auto insurance, and add Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks as "additional insured" on auto insurance.
