March with us in the Pride Parade!
Join us for the 41st annual Santa Cruz Pride Parade, Sunday, June 7, in downtown Santa Cruz. Wear a State Parks or Friends T-shirt and walk with us. We'll be handing out our rainbow Friends stickers, and our contingent will include a few dogs and an 8-year-old driving a park-themed go-kart.

This year, the parade will begin at the Town Clock, at Water Street and Pacific Avenue, and travel down Pacific toward the ocean. We will gather at the big red ball, corner of Cooper and Front streets, at 10:15 a.m. (look for our banner!). The parade will step-off at 11 a.m.

Feed the Force 2015: Volunteers and donations needed.
In appreciation of the great effort and dedication of those who work long hours to help keep our local state parks and beaches safe and enjoyable during the Fourth of July weekend, Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks will host its eighth annual "Feed the Force" event on July 4.

We need your help!

Donations of bottled water, soda, other beverages, food items (such as homemade cookies) are greatly appreciated. Cash gifts will help purchase pizza and other supplies. Volunteers also are needed to help transport and serve food at two locations.

For more information about how to donate or volunteer, please contact Event Coordinator Elizabeth Schilling at elizabeth@thatsmypark.org

A round of applause for the Mylo Jenkins Music @ the Mission show.
The Mylo Jenkins concert at Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park on Saturday, May 30, rocked! Families enjoyed picnicking on the lawn while the Santa Cruz-based Americana band performed. Thanks to everyone who came out for this fun, free event, part of our 2015 Summer Series at the Mission.

Check out photos from the show on our Facebook page.
